Emergency - Nicole Lowry
Background
I commenced nursing at Barwon Health in my graduate year while concurrently working on an honours research project quite a number of years ago, with my final rotation taking me to the Emergency Department where I have happily stayed.
From 2017 I have been the Emergency Department Research Assistant which has given me wonderful opportunities to work together with and support many of my ED colleagues on many different research projects.
Research Focus
The complex and broad nature of practice in the ED is reflected in the diverse assortment of our research, with my current work ranging across topics including illicit drug usage, football injury, febrile convulsions, paediatric neck injury, severe sepsis management, use of artificial intelligence at triage and more!
