Urology - A/Prof Kathryn McLeod

Background

I am a urological surgeon in Geelong, specialising in functional urology (incontinence), general urology and neuro-urology. I am passionate about surgical education. I am the PRESET supervisor at Barwon Health and am Chair of the Victorian Regional Training Committee for the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ). I am the also the chair of the education sub-committee for USANZ.

I have completed my Masters in Surgical Education and am currently completing my PhD at University of Melbourne focusing on improving remediation in surgical trainees.

I am a RACS facilitator for the Induction of Surgical Supervisors Course and difficult Conversations Course.  I am faculty for Monash university Fundamentals of Clinical Coaching Short Course.

 

Research Focus

I work primarily with qualitative research. My main areas of interest include overactive bladder, as well as surgical education.
