Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC)
Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) is a six bed, sub-acute residential program available to people with a lived experience of mental distress for up to 28 days. Individuals can use this service as additional support after a hospital admission prior to returning home, or when additional support is needed in order to avoid a hospital admission.
People living at home can access outreach support where skills-building sessions are delivered to individuals in their home environment. The PARC program is located onsite with the Community Rehabilitation Facility and offers a recovery-based program aimed at helping individuals to regain balance in life. The program includes an introduction to therapy, distress tolerance, hearing voices support, engagement in community programs/services and more.
