Volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and we would struggle to achieve such positive outcomes for the community without them.
For over 50 years, volunteers have supported the vital work of Barwon Health and have enhanced the health services provided by our organisation.
Barwon Health is proud to have the support of over 1,000 dedicated volunteers who donate more than 85,000 hours of their time each year.
Volunteers are involved across all departments of our organisation, including Mental health, Aged Care, Rehabilitation, Acute Care and Community Health.
Volunteers support our organisation in a variety of positions, including:
- Consumer Representation
- Recreational Activities
- Peer Support
- Information and Enquiries
- Patient Transport
Benefits of volunteering with Barwon Health:
- Expands skills and experience
- Enables support to the wider community
- Help improve the lives of those utilising our services
- Meet new people and build friendships
- Great career experience
Our large and dedicated group of volunteers are a vital part of the Barwon Health team and we are grateful for their ongoing support.
