Volunteer Services

The Barwon Health Volunteer Services Department manages and supports all volunteer roles extending across the organisation, from hospital-based volunteering, aged care, community health, rehabilitation, palliative care, mental health and other community-based programs and services.

In 1852, it was a passionate group of volunteers who established this organisation and to this day the spirit of giving and volunteering at Barwon Health has continued to grow making Geelong a healthier and happier place to live.

Volunteers have supported the vital work of Barwon Health and have enhanced the health services provided by our organisation, which is in excess of a million points of care and support each year to our community. As a volunteer, your primary focus will be to continue to enhance the consumer experience, particularly in areas that support social, emotional and recreational wellbeing.

Volunteers have proven to benefit our consumers and optimise the overall health and well-being of those we support and care for. Volunteers are an integral part of our health professional team and are highly valued for their contributions.

We want people of all ages, abilities, beliefs and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to join us as we build our volunteer service.

We are offering new and exciting opportunities to get involved - please click here to sign up and register your interest as a volunteer.
