Infectious Diseases and Immigrant and Refugee Health Clinic

The Immigrant and Refugee Health Clinic at Barwon Health runs each Tuesday morning in conjunction with the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

Children under 18 are seen in the Paediatric Immigrant and Refugee Health Clinic every Tuesday. Refugees attend the clinic through GP referral for assessment, treatment and ongoing management by Infectious Diseases Physicians who provide specialist support for GPs. Refugees are bulk-billed under Medicare and onsite interpreters are utilised.

The clinic is facilitated by a clinical nurse consultant and maintains close links with community services to ensure high quality care for refugees living in the Geelong area.
