The Gretta Volum Centre is a freestanding day surgery unit within University Hospital Geelong.

It has two operating theatres and one endoscopy procedure room. Services are provided for patients undergoing a broad range of surgical, diagnostic procedures, intravenous therapy, abdominal paracentesis, and CVC line insertions.

We also provide admission and discharge services for patients undergoing surgery in main theatre and procedures in medical imaging.

Ward procedures performed in recovery include infusions – Intragam, Infliximab, Magnesium, Lignocaine, Iron, Abatecept, Tysabri, Blood transfusions, Allergy testing and Abdominal Paracentesis. Other procedures performed include CVC line insertion, lumbar punctures and testosterone implants.

The Gretta Volum Centre is located at the University Hospital Geelong precinct, to the right of the main entrance on Bellerine Street.
