Consumer Consultants have had a lived experience of mental health challenges. They provide advocacy and support to consumers (patients, carers and family) of Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS). They also provide, capacity building and a consultancy role to service development.
This service provides input to the: Consumer forums; MHDAS service development; consumer consultancy to residential services; education & training; MHDAS orientation program; shared programs with other agencies; and state-wide representation.
