Institute for Mental and Physical Health and Clinical Translation (IMPACT)

Mental Health

IMPACT is led by Alfred Deakin Professor, Michael Berk as Director and Professor Ken Walder as Deputy Director. Our team of over 200 researchers work to develop innovative diagnostics, treatments and therapies for mental health conditions. We use cutting edge approaches to take our medical research from the laboratory to deliver real-world solutions.

Our multi-disciplinary, collaborative and responsive approach allows us to quickly translate our biomedical discoveries, made at the science lab bench, into bedside treatment possibilities for patients and the broader community.
