Allied Health Research & Translation - Craig Harvey
Background
My professional background has focussed on supporting marginalised communities, those that inject drugs and male sex workers, in the UK. Since arriving in Australia in 2006 I have held a number of both frontline and management roles supporting people who use drugs, with a focus on innovative harm reduction strategies.
Research Focus
My current research is focussed on:
- Exploring how needle syringe programs can be optimised to better engage and treat people with Hepatitis C
- Exploring innovative harm reduction approaches to the use of benzodiazepines
