Telehealth is getting a 'facelift'

From 1st April, 2025 the website will be updated. Whilst we believe this update will look visually more appealing it will also be easier for consumers to navigate and find support.
We have been working with staff and the WISE (Written Information Simply Explained) Committee, and have used the opportunity to review the numbers of Healthdirect clinic waiting rooms. Over 75 clinics in total! This can be confusing for consumers to know which clinic to join.

New or updated clinics:

Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services
Preadmissions
Primary Care / Community Health Centres
Specialist Clinics (formerly known as Outpatients)
Sub Acute Specialist Clinics

For Specialist Clinics and Sub Acute Specialist Services clinics there will be an additional Clinic type drop box for consumers when entering the waiting area to identify which service they are attending, for example:

How to access your telehealth appointment

Click the link on your SMS,

Paste that link into your web browser on your laptop,

Select your clinic from the service clinic list below

Fill in your details and follow the prompts until you enter the online waiting area

Important: Once connected to the online waiting room, please stay on the same webpage to receive updates and to see when your specialist is on-line. Closing or minimising this tab on your phone / PC / device will cause you to temporarily drop out of the waiting area and restart the timer. If this happens, you may not be seen on time.
