If your invoice is claimable from Medicare or your private health insurance, please print your BPAY receipt, attach this to your invoice and present to your local Medicare service centre to claim. Your Medicare statement of benefits can then be used to claim from your private health insurance.

Claiming online
Express Plus Medicare mobile app offers a variety of services including the ability to claim.

Express Plus Medicare is available on Apple and Android devices™.

To access Medicare online accounts, you will be asked to create a myGov account and link your Medicare online account.

You can submit claims for anyone listed on your Medicare card. If you’ve registered your bank account details with Medicare, your benefit will usually be paid into your account the next working day.

You need to register your bank account details with Medicare before you take advantage of the range of claiming options available.

To get started:

  1. create a myGov account at my.gov.au
  2. then link your Medicare account.

Claiming via post
Complete a Medicare claim form and either place in the ‘drop box’ at a Medicare service centre or post to:

GPO Box 9822
In your capital city
