17 August 2026: Myers Street Maternity Entrance Reopens

From the 17th of August 2026, Barwon Health will open a temporary entrance on Myers Street to the existing maternity services department for maternity patients and their families.

From this date, patients attending the Maternity Assessment Unit and Birth Suite, including those arriving after hours, should access maternity services via the Myers Street entrance. An after-hours intercom is available to assist patients entering the facility outside of regular hours.

Access to the maternity ward and maternity clinics will continue via their existing entrances.

To help make your visit as convenient as possible, emergency short-term parking and drop-off spaces are available near the maternity entrance for maternity patients and their support people.

This re-opening marks the first step in the journey of the new Barwon Women’s and Children’s, set to open in 2028.
