Safe Sleeping in Pregnancy
New research shows that sleeping on your side in the third trimester (from 28 weeks pregnant) can help prevent stillbirth.
Women are advised to settle to sleep on their side for any episode of sleep, including:
- Going to sleep at night
- Returning to sleep after any awakenings
- Day time naps
Please let your midwife or doctor know if you are concerned about your sleep position.
