“I started my career at Barwon Health in 2021 as a graduate nurse. I spent six months working on the inpatient Cancer Services ward (Baxter 6) and I fell in love with cancer nursing. I was elated when I landed a permanent position on Baxter 6 after completing my graduate year. I was supported in completing competencies to further my knowledge and allow me to give chemotherapy on the ward. Caring for patients while they are going through such a vulnerable time is an honour. I love being able to provide my patients with support and education to empower them and advocate for their needs.
I am consistently provided with opportunities to expand my knowledge and increase my skills both on the ward and within Cancer Services at Barwon Health. Caring for patients with complex needs throughout their treatment is the most rewarding job I could ask for.”
