Volunteer Services 

The Volunteer Services Program at Barwon Health assists the staff in providing quality health care for the community. A volunteer’s caring and compassionate manner greatly adds to the quality of life for clients, patients and residents of Barwon Health. 700 volunteers provide innovative and rewarding activities to all program areas of Barwon Health, including:

  • Acute Health

  • Rehabilitation

  • Residential Care

  • Mental Health

  • Community Health

  • Palliative Care

  • Bereavement Support

Volunteers at Barwon Health are assured of appreciation and support from the management team, staff, patients and clients.

 

There is also a good feeling of fellowship between volunteers.   Volunteer Activities Barwon Health’s program for volunteers is one of the largest in Australia. It can therefore offer challenging activities as well as the more traditional, supportive roles.  

 

Volunteers at Barwon Health are an integral part of the health professional teams providing care for so many in our community. They are a valued support in sustaining many new and exciting activities, enriching the lives of people within the Barwon region.  

 

How do I become a Volunteer? If you would like to join Barwon Health as a volunteer simply ring 5226 7195. We will mail an information pack to you containing a letter of introduction, an application form, and a list of Volunteer activities.
