Seminar for health professionals
Evidence is emerging that shows how important outdoor experiences are to our mental health throughout childhood.
The second in a paired forum - this being for those who work with children from two years through school entry, and their families - the seminar is a partnership initiative of Barwon Health, City of Greater Geelong, Department of Education & Early Childhood Development, Geelong Kindergarten Association and G21 and is part of Mental Health Week.

Who should attend: Staff working in maternal child health, childcare, family day care, schools, play groups, paediatrics, kindergartens and anyone working with children
PROGRAM
Registrations: 4.15pm
4.30pm Presentations: The research examining the relationship between outdoor experiences, media exposure, risk aversion and parent/child relationships on child mental health. Three speakers TBC.
5.30pm Merry-Go-Round: A series of brief presentations covering practical ideas and examples where services can engage and support parents.
6.10pm Workshop: Identifying the challenges; Finding the solutions.
6.30pm Close - Audience members will have the opportunity to approach the presenters to elaborate on their projects/information, and ask questions.
