What service is provided?
The service is for inpatient and outpatient pre-school children (ages 0 – 6 years) with a primary speech and/or language difficulty as a result of a medical aetiology, or a primary feeding difficulty.
The aims of the service are to provide early identification and management of difficulties in the child’s developing feeding and communication skills.
This service will be provided to both inpatients and outpatients, and involve a thorough diagnostic assessment and management of the infant/child’s oral motor and swallowing skills, development of feeding and communication skills, and the infant-caregiver feeding and communication relationship. |
