Barwon Health's Drug and Alcohol Services provide confidential treatment and support for anyone who is experiencing problems associated with their own or someone else's alcohol or other drug use.
The Community Methodone Program provides substitute therapy for individual's dependent on opiates. The client is provided with ongoing support while stabilising on either methodone or buprenorphine. All clients are required to complete an assessment with the clinic nurse before commencing the program.
The client is required to obtain a community pharmacy that agrees to assist in dosing their medication and all clients are offered assistance with referral to other services at DTS or external services and transfers.
Clients are required to phone or present through our intake service to access the program.
