The Prevention and Recovery Centre (PARC) is part of Barwon Health Mental Health Services. It provides residents with appropriate rehabilitation in a therapeutic and clinically supervised community setting. Residents can receive the necessary support, assistance and psycho-education recommended by their consultant psychiatrist.
PARC offers structured rehabilitation and recreational programs to assist clients to develop the necessary skills for more independent living. It offers support and assistance in pursuing further education and employment opportunities.
The Centre is staffed by a multidisciplinary team which includes a unit manager, administration officer, psychiatric nurses, occupational therapist, program coordinator, psychiatrist and psychiatric service officers.
PARC does not offer permanent accommodation but a limited stay to assist consumers with their recovery.
