The Geelong Hospital Cardiology Department is one of the busiest cardiology services in Victoria. The department oversees a broad range of activities.
Associate Professor Alexander Black was appointed the founding Director of Cardiology in 1991. Since that time, the service has grown significantly, requiring the appointment of an additional 5 cardiologists.
Their specialist areas of expertise cover the entire range of contemporary cardiology practice and include interventional cardiology, echocardiography, electrophysiology and hypertension management.
