Service Description:

The Maternity Support Worker provides assessment, education and referral for woman in the antenatal and postnatal period who are experiencing symptoms of depression or excessive anxiety related to childbirth.  They will also offer short-term support for these women and their families until linked into appropriate supports / services.


This role also includes community education and development, as well as consultation and liaison with health care professionals.
