Bellerine Centre 6 South provides education and care for women antenatally, postnatally and post gynaecological procedures, and follow up support with Domiciliary midwife visits post discharge for postnatal women. We have Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative acreditation and actively support breastfeeding your baby. Your length of stay in hospital is dependent on the procedure, type of birth and when you are clinically well for discharge.
Facilities include shared ensuite in 2-bed rooms, single rooms and a 4-bed room. Single rooms are generally used for women with private health insurance (if available), long-term hospital stay for certain antenatal complications, or women with specific needs.
The audiology deparment provides routine hearing tests on all infants while in hospital, if discharged home, they will make contact for an appointment.

- Social work
- Home referral services (home help, district nursing)
- Early parenting day stay program
- Lactation consultant
- Physiotherapy
- Continence service
- Outpatient follow up appointments
- Referral to other medical teams such as paediatrics and orthopaedics.
Visiting hours: for partners and children, between 0900-2100 hours. All other visitors are requested to visit between 1600-2000 hours.
Barwon Health is a smoke free zone and prohibits smoking on the premises.
