Occupational Therapy Services


Service Description:


Occupational Therapists (OT’s):



  • Assess clients of all ages, address relevant difficulties with daily living activities, life roles and access to home facilities.

  • Are responsible for facilitating safe and timely discharge to the most appropriate destination.

  • Complete home assessments if indicated.

  • Recommend and arrange modifications if required or supply of equipment (excluding mobility aids) to promote safe discharge.

  • Offer a specialised Hand therapy service for traumatic hand injuries and elective hand surgery.

Other services include:



  • Discharge planning.

  • ADL Assessment and training

  • Home Assessment & Modifications

  • Prescribing Equipment

  • Upper Limb Assessment

  • Referral to relevant Community Agencies

  • Static & Dynamic splinting

  • Scar Management (including burns)
