The issue features a fantastic Gala Day special including Brooke's story on the front page. The eight year old has taken part in every parade for the past three years, marching at the front of the parade with the Emergency Department staff.

It was a number of years ago when the young girl was rushed to Emergency by her mother when she noticed spots on her daughter's body. She was diagnosed with meningococcal disease and quickly treated by the staff at the Geelong Hospital before being taken to the Royal Children's Hospital.
