Blokes Day Out 2014 - A celebration of boys and men
 
The fifth instalment of the Blokes Day Out Festival will be held on Sunday, March 30 at Eastern Beach Reserve on the Geelong Waterfront.

The free event recognises men's connections with their families, friends and community as being essential in understanding and supporting male health outcomes. 
 
Entertainment, activities, music, food stalls, and other events hosted by local community groups and clubs are again on board to attract crowds of up to 2,000 people to the event.
 
The event will include performances by:
• Geelong Sings Choir
• Acabella Fellas Choir
• Community Tango in Geelong
• SIMMA band

Some key activities include:

• Beach volleyball
• Dragon boating
• Sailing
• Rock climbing wall
• Fishing workshop
• Gumboot throwing competition (proceeds to Geelong Prostate Support Group)
• Men's Sheds

The event is proudly supported by Barwon Health, City of Greater Geelong, GMHBA Health Insurance, Bendigo Bank, Court House Arts, St John of God Geelong Hopsital, 94.7 The Pulse, Geelong Print Solutions, Fagg's Mitre 10, Undercover Marquees, Barwon Water and Barwon Medicare Local.

Blokes Week
 
In the lead up to Blokes Day Out, dozens of events will be held across the region in preparation for the festval day. Blokes Week events will kick off on March 24.
