| JUNIOR NETBALLER AND FOOTBALLER WIN $500 FOR THEIR TEAMS |
 | 12/21/2011
Junior netballer Talisha Szucs and footballer Lachlan Denny won $500 for their teams on Gforce Gala Day in November. Thank you to Community Care Chemist for supporting the netball shootout and TAC for the football competition. 15 talented young people entered each competition that was designed to keep the crowds entertained while they waited for the parade to come past and at Steampacket Gardens, the site of the Family Fun Day. The competitors were kindly organised by Bay FM on air in the lead up to Gala.
Billy Brownless and Geelong Cats players George Horlin-Smith and Nathan Vardy helped with the kicking comp on Malop Street. Lachlan Denny who was dressed in his team's colours won $500 for the Torquay Football Club.
Unfortunately due to the bad weather conditions the Family Fun Day couldn't run this year but the netball competition was still held in Steampacket Gardens. Barwon Health Foundation Ambassador Eloise Southby-Halbish hosted the netball competition. Talisha won $500 for North Geelong Football Club with excellent shooting.
Thank you to everyone who entered the competitions! |
