| WALKABOUT RAISES $10,500 FOR THE GEELONG HOSPITAL APPEAL |

During October, Barwon Health staff, their families and friends put on their walking shoes and pedometers to help raise funds for the Geelong Hospital Appeal.
Congratulations to all those who participated in the WALKabout event. It was an overwhelming success with 1,048 people participating. With a target to collectively walk around Australia, all participants truly outdid themselves to collectively circumnavigate this great country over 10 times - that’s 146,992 kilometres!!!
Many thanks go to the local businesses who generously supported WALKabout with donations of terrific prizes and to all participants who helped raise a total of $10, 480 towards the redevelopment of the Geelong Hospital Children’s Ward.
