Is there anyone else external to Barwon Health that I can complain to?

Any problem is usually best solved at the point of service in the hospital. However, if you are not satisfied with the response to your complaint or you wish to take your concerns further, please contact the Office of Health Services Commissioner (OHSC). The OHSC provides a free and confidential service for anyone with a complaint about a health service provider in Victoria.

Complaints about certain serious misconduct or corruption involving public health services in Victoria can be made directly to the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC). Barwon Health encourages individuals to raise their concerns with IBAC if they are uncomfortable raising their concerns directly with Barwon Health or if they feel some detrimental action has been, or may be taken against them if they make a complaint.
