All about the Barwon Health Foundation

As the State’s largest regional healthcare provider, Barwon Health’s mission to provide high quality, people-focused care to more than 450,000 people in Geelong and south western Victoria defines a significant and great need in this region.

The establishment of the Barwon Health Foundation reflects the Barwon Health Board’s commitment to strengthening its community. This commitment will support Barwon Health in its mission to deliver comprehensive medical, surgical, aged care, rehabilitation, community and mental health services.

The Barwon Health Foundation represents the cooperative approach that has nurtured and characterised Geelong’s growth over the past two centuries, and it provides an opportunity for the community to contribute to its own development and sustainability.

The key words that underpin all Foundation activities are ‘partnership’, ‘collaboration’ and ‘innovation’. Our ‘partners’ are encouraged to initiate ‘innovative’ and mutually beneficial activities that ‘collaboratively’ engage the community in support of Barwon Health.

You can help to ensure that Barwon Health remains responsive to the needs of the expanding local community while providing the highest levels of quality care.

If you would like to become involved as a partner of the Barwon Health Foundation, please contact us on (03) 5260 3355 or email foundation@barwonhealth.org.au
