Patron - Peter Hitchener

Peter Hitchener has been in the news business for more than 45 years - the past 37 of them with the Nine Network. He was born and raised in remote rural Queensland.

A great deal of Peter’s spare time is taken up by community service activities. He is a patron for the Deaf Blind Society of Victoria, and now the inaugural patron of the Barwon Health Foundation. Peter also guest speaks for many charity, community and school events in Melbourne. He lives in inner suburban Melbourne, while his main pastimes are tennis and golf, and he is a lifelong St Kilda Football Club supporter.
