Fees and Invoices

Administrative fees apply only to commercially sponsored clinical trials.

The fee is required to offset the administrative costs associated with an ethics submission to the Committee, such as preparation for review, photocopying, storage and correspondence.

If a second site requests ethical oversight of a trial, which has been previously submitted, or in the process of submission to the Committee, then an administrative fee will also be required of half the initial fee.

Beginning 1 April 2010, the Research and Governance Fee for new commercially sponsored applications will be $4400 (including GST). This fee will be charged to studies whether it is reviewed under the multisite system or as a single site study. Amendment fees for commercially sponsored trials will be $550 (including GST). Studies, which are not commercially sponsored, would continue to be reviewed without incurring a fee.

Application first site: $4400 (inc GST)

Application second site: $2200 (inc GST)

Amendment first site: $550 (inc GST)

Amendment second site: $275 (inc GST)

Invoice

All fees must be tracked by an invoice and receipt. An invoice may be requested from this site by invoice request or from the Accounts Department. The invoice must clearly identify the identity of the trial and the service being requested.
